All about the best cell phones

To celebrate the Tokyo Olympics, Google released a function in your application for Android and iOS that allows you to create a shortcut to the main information about the competition. The feature directs the user to a special page that brings together the medal table, the latest news and the schedule for all sports. It is also possible to create alerts so that your smartphone will notify you of that unmissable match in the early hours of the morning.

To access the content, simply search for the term: “Olympics 2020” in the Google search bar and select the “Add a shortcut to the Olympics” button. It will then automatically redirect you to your Android’s home page.

Google also offers the option to activate reminders to receive key event information in your smartphone's notifications. If the option to create a shortcut doesn't appear automatically, simply click on the expandable menu in the top right corner of the app's first card and select the “Add to home screen” option. This feature also works with other global sporting events, such as the World Cup.

Special Olympics game

Still in the sporting spirit, Google prepared a special Doodle to appear on its home page during every day of the Olympics, but in our tests, we passed far away of the medal table. For those who want to try, the Champion Island Games is a exclusive game in which players must help the mascot Ninja Lucky win medals in different categories. With simple gameplay, the game includes categories such as table tennis, rugby, climbing and much more.

The game can be run directly from Chrome browser or from the Google app on Android and iOS, and we highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys nostalgic games.
