All about the best cell phones

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will have their official opening this Friday (23/07) and, to get in the mood, Google has prepared a series of 7 retro games, called Doodle Champion Island Games, which can be played on the web, including on your cell phone. The animations were produced by the Japanese Studio 4ºC, and feature Lucky, a ninja cat, as the main character.

The presentation video on YouTube shows Lucky arriving for the games, which will cover some of the sports who will be present at the Tokyo Olympics. Remembering that the Olympic Games that will be held in Japan were postponed from July last year to the current one due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The interactive games will allow Lucky to join different teams, including Blue, Red, Yellow or Green, represented by Ushi (a cow), Karasu (a crow), Inari (a fox) or Kappa (a Japanese turtle), respectively. Among the sports highlighted by Google are two that until 2016 were not part of the games included in other editions of the Olympics: skateboarding and climbing. There will also be games such as rugby, table tennis and others.

World dispute

Google's idea to launch its own games in honor of the Olympics will involve a worldwide competition involving participants in the interactive game. Whoever adopts (pardon the pun) Lucky the cat as an athlete will have their performance and points total tracked by Google. Google, which will create a leaderboard with all participants worldwide.

Google Doodle will be available to users in Brazil starting at midnight on Thursday (22), or, if you prefer, starting at midnight on Friday (0). In addition to the games simulating sports that will be found at the Olympics, the feature will take users who type “Olympics” in the search to a special page, containing results, medal table, event calendar and much more.
