Explore and Pages Tab

In the “Explore” tab, Twitter users will be able to access articles dedicated to the Olympics, as well as “Moments” from partners and the platform itself. Regarding the new, special sports pages, Twitter says that they will feature “the main tweets about conversations, information and curiosities surrounding the Games”.

Topics, Lists and other resources

On the part of “Topics”, the social network offers a series of themes that can be easily found through the searched subject, such as Olympic Basketball, Olympic Football or Olympic Athletes. These topics can be followed and added to the profile according to the user's taste, so that they do not miss out on news and curiosities about the specific subject.

At the same time, in the “Lists” category, the user has access to more than 30 exclusive and specific contents such as everything about Athletes, Fencing, Judo, Swimming etc. All this Olympics content is separated by the official Twitter page @MomentsBrasil.

Additionally, Twitter has released some emojis when people post on Twitter with the hashtag #Olympics. To activate the country's flag, for example, users must "put the official three-letter abbreviation of the International Olympic Committee for each country after the # symbol, such as #BRA for Brazil." Twitter has also released the hashtag #EOR for those who want to declare their support for the Refugee Olympic Team.
