Launched in March of last year, the Clubhouse app remained closed to the iOS environment while it implemented its functions and gained users. And the network experienced exponential growth due to the pandemic, reaching 8 million downloads. Now, these numbers may increase even more, as Clubhouse has released a beta test version for Android.

The social network announced the news in a post on its official blog. For now, the beta test version is closed to a small group of users, but the developers said they are gradually expanding this number. It is not yet known when a final version will reach Android users, but it is possible that it will happen in the coming months.

Race for Android

This opening for the Android environment was already in the plans from the Clubhouse developers, so the beta test would come sooner or later. However, this idea became a necessary demand to maintain the app's popularity (and even increase it). This is because upon reaching the 10 millions of downloads global in a short time, the application caught the attention of the competition and, with that, similar versions of the tool appeared here and there, already winning over users of Google's operating system.

Today, Android users can get a taste of what the exclusive (for now) iOS app is like through features created by other social networks that are looking for this slice of the market. Twitter was one of the first, now Facebook is finalizing its audio chat tool and the Social media coordinator must also have its version. Users of Telegram You can also try the audio chat option.
