A few days after presenting the North CE 5G, will not arrive in the United States, OnePlus may be preparing to launch a smartphone soon, and everything indicates that it will be the Nord N200. At least that is what a certification from United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The model has already been confirmed by the company's CEO Pete Lau, however, there is no defined launch window.
The FCC approval suggests an imminent launch. The product is listed under the codes DE2118 and DE2117, one of which is likely for a carrier-specific US model and the other for the unlocked version of the Nord N200. Despite this, the DE prefix has not previously been used on carrier-specific models. OnePlus.
But as the Nord 10 and Nord 100 inaugurated the BE Code, it is reasonable to assume that the new devices in the line will be the first with the acronym DE. This should also be repeated if the company does again as in the last generation and launches a possible Nord 20, more complete.
OnePlus Nord N200
As we mentioned at the beginning of the post, the Nord mid-range line gained the Nord CE this week, but it is not expected to arrive in the United States. While there is no information about the OnePlus Nord N200, if this is indeed the cell phone certified in the US, it is worth remembering its possible predecessor, the North N100, which was launched at the end of last year and falls into the intermediate category.
And what about the prices of the Nord line so far? In the US, the model came out costing US$ 179,99 (R$ 954) while the N10 It is a better smartphone and has 5G connectivity, and costs US$ 299,99 (R$ 1.590). The new smartphone, if it is really the N200, should cost something closer to the first one.
For now, none of the Nord models or other OnePlus devices are expected to be sold in Brazil. OnePlus' lineup is focused on mid-range models with a more affordable proposition (by the company's standards).
