Yesterday, Motorola launched three devices from its G line worldwide. The mid-range models G10 and G30, as well as the flagship G100 (the first in the family with Snapdragon 870). But the company didn't stop there and another device came to complete the line. Launched without much fanfare, the Moto G50 is a simple smartphone limited to Europeans.

The biggest highlight of the cell phone is its processor Snapdragon 480 5G which, as its name suggests, guarantees fifth-generation connectivity. This chip is recent, having been launched at the beginning of the year, offering twice the power of the 460 model for more basic cell phones. Its main rear camera with 48 MP and the ability to record videos in 4k also draws attention.

The other specifications reveal that the Moto G50 is quite simple. Its screen is 6,5 inches long with 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The main camera is accompanied by two other lenses, one of 5 MP and another of 2 MP, while the selfie lens has 13 MP with support for HDR resolution.

The device also features 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage that can be expanded to 1 TB with microSD. Its battery has 5000 mAh and the Moto G50 comes with a charger in the box, with a capacity of 10W. Finally, it will have a headphone jack, USB Type-C connection and Bluetooth 5.0.

As for the operating system, the smartphone comes with Android 11 straight out of the box. And since the brand's policy is to apply at most one major software update, it is likely that the device will receive Android 12 at the end of the year (and stop there).

European buyers interested in the handset won't have to spend much, as it's priced at £249,99 ($1680 before taxes). The Moto G50 has been released in two colors, Steel Gray and Aqua Green, and with 4GB/64GB of RAM and storage so far (more options are expected to follow). Additionally, the handset will have the option of single or dual SIM.
