All about the best cell phones

Announced by Oppo first for the Kenyan market, about three weeks ago, the Reno5 F, a variant of the Reno5, was officially released this Thursday (18/03). The main news of the announcement was, perhaps, the only specification that had not yet been confirmed by the brand on its official website: the smartphone's processor.

According to Oppo, the chip in the Reno5 F will not be the same as the one used in the Reno5 and Reno5 Pro. The Reno 5 Pro 5G has a MediaTek chip Dimension 1000+, while the Reno5 5G features Snapdragon 765G chipset. The new Reno5 F will feature the Helio P95 from MediaTek, a chip for mid-range cell phones, like those in first versions of Oppo A93, launched in October last year. The processor has an octa-core CPU at 2,2 GHz, and will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card.

Other specifications

The other specifications continue to do justice to a model that does not arrive with the intention of fighting for a place. among the flagships. The battery is 4310 mAh, with support for VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 fast charging, 30W. Therefore, it should not be enough to guarantee the user good autonomy during the day, without having to run to find a socket to recharge.

The camera system features four rear lenses. The main one will have 48 MP and will be accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and two others, each with 2 megapixels. These other cameras are a macro camera and a portrait camera. The selfie camera is located in a notch on the top left of the screen.

AMOLED display has touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz

Speaking of the display, it is a 6,4-inch AMOLED with a brightness of 800 nits. This screen has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels with a refresh rate of 60Hz. In addition, it has a touch sampling rate of 135Hz or up to 180Hz in gaming mode.

The operating system of Oppo Reno5 F is Android 11, and the dimensions are quite interesting for those who don't want to carry a “bulky” device in their pocket (or bag): 160,1 x 73,2 x 7,8 mm, weighing approximately 172 grams.

Sales are scheduled to begin on March 22 (Monday), and the initial price is 31.499 Kenyan shillings (approximately R$1.580, in direct conversion and without fees or taxes). Although there is no confirmation, the expectation is that the Reno5 F will soon land in other markets. It is very unlikely, but who knows, maybe it will appear here in Brazil in the not too distant future?
