Tuesday, 15/12, promises to be busy in China with pre-sales of two highly anticipated cell phone models – the Huawei Mate 40 (already announced) – and now, the gold Motorola Razr 5G, as revealed in a blog post by the Lenovo-owned brand. Until now, the Motorola Razr has only been available to consumers in black, its traditional color.

The price for those who want to guarantee the gold Razr 5G in pre-sale is an indication that its owners will be as exclusive as the new color of Motorola's foldable: 12.500 yuan, a value that, in direct conversion, is equivalent to R$9.617. It is worth remembering that, to arrive in Brazil, the cost still needs to be increased by import taxes and other tariff taxes, which will make the flagship accessible to a select group of people.

In China, despite being considered an expensive smartphone, the Razr 5G in its first version was a huge success. According to information from the website GizmoChina posted at the time of its launch in September, all the pre-sale battery sold out in just two minutes.

What's in the gold Razr 5G

The gold Motorola Razr 5G will have a high price, but the configurations promise to live up to the almost R$10 (remember, without taxes or other fees) that the manufacturer is asking for the new foldable. Starting with the processor, which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, and the displays - main with a 6,2-inch OLED screen and secondary with a 2,7-inch screen.

According to Motorola, there is no risk of the hinge on the gold Razr 5G breaking easily or causing creases on the screen. The technology developed for the new foldable device predicts a lifespan of 200 folds, which means, in quick math, that the flagship can be folded and unfolded 100 times a day for 5 years without any defects.

Recently, the company issued a statement informing that it had changed the way Razr is packaged. According to Motorola, some consumers reported problems and this forced the manufacturer to start sending orders with it closed, to avoid cracks or splits during transportation.

The optical set also promises to be one of the attractions of the gold Razr 5G, with a 20-megapixel selfie camera, the main rear camera of 48 MP, with support for depth sensor, HDR portrait mode, autofocus, OIS optical image stabilization and super night vision, among other functions. The battery will be 2800 mAh, the RAM memory will be 8 GB and the internal storage will be 256 GB.
