Vivo, one of the leading smartphone manufacturers, has just launched two new entry-level models in the Chinese market: the Vivo Y10 and the Vivo Y10 T1. Although the two have a similar design, the main differences are in the internal components such as the chip, the type of storage and the Bluetooth version.
General Features of Vivo Y10 and Y10 T1 Models
Both models, Vivo Y10 and Y10 T1, offer a 6,51-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. They are equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage capacity, expandable via microSD card, in addition to a robust 5000mAh battery with support for 10W charging.
What is the difference between Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y10 T1?
The Vivo Y10 uses the MediaTek Helio P35 chip and has eMMC 5.1 storage, in addition to supporting Bluetooth 5.0. The Vivo Y10 T1 is equipped with the more powerful MediaTek Helio P70, uses UFS 2.1 storage and has support for Bluetooth 4.2, an earlier version.
Information about the Cameras of New Devices
The devices share the same camera setup, which includes an 8MP front-facing shooter and two rear-facing shooters – a 13MP main shooter with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphones also come with an LED flash to help in low-light situations.
Connectivity Options and Additional Features
Despite the differences in Bluetooth, both models have identical connectivity features, such as support for 4G LTE networks, dual SIM capacity, a 3,5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port. Other features include a fingerprint sensor, ambient light and proximity sensors, and the operating system is OriginOS, which is based on Android 11.
Prices and Availability of Models in the Market
Both the Vivo Y10 and Y10 T1 are offered in Glacier Blue and Moonlit Night color options for the same price of 1.099 yuan in China, which is roughly $173 or R$959 at the current exchange rate. The Vivo Y10 T1 model is already available for purchase, while the Vivo Y10 will be launched soon.In the competitive entry-level smartphone market, Vivo's new models promise to balance affordable prices with attractive features, a strategy that could yield good results for the brand in the global market.
