A Apple The Vision Pro has not yet been released for purchase, but plans for a more affordable version have already appeared in several leaks. The most recent comes from analyst Mark Gurman, in his newsletter for Bloomberg, where he predicts that these glasses will lose the external screen and the powerful chip in an attempt to be less expensive.

What do you need to know:

  • A Apple is planning a more affordable version of the Vision Pro, reveals analyst Mark Gurman,
  • The goal is to reduce the full value by up to 57% and to do so the company must remove some components.
  • First on the savings list should be the external screen, while another could be the reduced resolution for the internal display which in the full Vision Pro is 4K
  • Another saving could come from reducing the number of cameras, which in the Vision Pro presented in June totals 12.

According to Gurman, the cheaper version of the Vision Pro is a priority for the Apple, due to the high cost for most people. The model will cost US$ 3,5, equivalent to almost R$ 17,7 without taxes.

A Apple predicts a cheaper version, costing between US$ 1,5 and US$ 2,5, which is still expensive, but less. For the math to work, Mark Gurman points out that the company will remove the external screen, in addition to lowering the resolution of the internal display and also changing the chip.

Fewer cameras

With that the Apple The cheaper Vision Pro would no longer have a chip made for the Mac and would instead use one from the iPhone. Another point that makes economic sense for the project is the removal of some of the cameras. The model presented by the company in June of this year has 12 of them, not counting other sensors for functions that go beyond vision itself.

The original Vision Pro is expected to launch next year, but there's no word on when the cheaper version will hit the market.
