Casio launched a new G-Shock watch with smartphone connection: the GBD 200. With a traditional design, the model It's not really a smart watch, but shares fitness information to the user's mobile phone.
A reference in durability and resistance, Casio G-Shock watches do not seek to compete with more complete models such as the Galaxy Watch or the Apple Watch, but they seek to cater to an audience that practices sports, likes a retro layout, but still wants the facilities offered by a smart model.
Watch measures training distance without GPS
According to the manufacturer, the G-Shock GBD 200 features proprietary accelerometer technology that provides accurate measurements of the distance traveled during training without the need for a connected GPS, which allows the user to train without carrying their cell phone. When you get home, simply pair the devices via Bluetooth to receive the information on your device.
The watch also offers a simultaneous pairing function, allowing calorie, distance and pace measurements to be transferred to the smartphone while working out. In addition, the watch also vibrates to alert the user of new notifications. Messages, on the other hand, are not displayed on its screen, forcing the user to take the phone out of their pocket while working out.
