Finally, Oppo will show how its 125W charging technology works. This Thursday (22/07), the Chinese company will hold an online event in which it should talk about the new advances in the development of the super charger and how artificial intelligence will assist in the operation of the device. Oppo announced the event through two mysterious teasers on the social network Weibo, one mentioning the fast charging system and another talking about the use of AI on the device.

There is also speculation that the company will announce which smartphones will be compatible with the super charger and also about new advances in the field of wireless power transmission. Until then, tests with the new technology continue steadily at Oppo's facilities in Huizhou, in the far south of China.
Supercharger allows you to power a 4000 mAh battery in 20 minutes
A year ago, Oppo announced 125W charging technology with enthusiasm. According to the Chinese company, the new power system allows a 4000 mAh battery to be charged up to 41% in five minutes and fully replenished in just 20 minutes. Based on the SuperVooc 2.0 protocol, the charger uses three parallel charge pumps with capacitors, increasing the energy conversion efficiency by 98%.
“We are committed to developing our expertise in the field of ultra-compact, high-power and wireless charging technologies to provide users with a safe, efficient and convenient ultra-fast charging experience,” said at the time Oppo's chief scientist for battery charging technology, Jeff Zhang.
Oppo has yet to clarify how the AI will work in the new charger. Rumor has it that it will be used to maintain battery longevity, as ultra-fast charging processes affect feeding capacity over the years.
