Three new features have been launched via YouTube, which include clips, exclusive chat for subscribers and real-time search in Livestreams. According to the Google team, the updates were highly anticipated by streamers and gaming video creators, focusing on making it easier to interact with live audiences and share snippets of their posts.

Clips

With the clips feature, subscribers to a channel can capture parts 5 to 60 seconds of videos to share on social media or other platforms. YouTubers can turn this feature on and off in the Advanced Settings of YouTube Studio. The video above posted on the official YouTube Creators channel helps to understand a little more about this new feature, and there is an example that can be seen here.

For viewers, a clip icon will be enabled on the video, allowing them to select a portion of the content to trim. The clip will play in a loop on the original video’s watch page, and all metrics from the viewer’s clips will be attributed to the source post. The feature, which has been tested with groups of gaming creators over the past few months, is now available to YouTube streamers with at least 1 subscribers, with plans to expand to all creators in the future.

Exclusive chat

Here, Google brings a new feature focused on chat between all content creators and their respective subscribers. YouTubers will be able to moderate the live chat, which can be activated during the initial setup of the Livestream or even when it is already running.

Additionally, it is possible to determine restrictions by registration time for participation in the live chat. In other words, the streamer will be able to say whether only those who have been subscribed for so many hours, days, weeks, months or years will be able to chat in the chat.

Research

Polls provide a way for YouTubers to Livestream know what your audience likes while also giving subscribers a way to interact with their favorite streamers. These polls will only be visible during the live stream, not during a future replay.

These polls have two to four options and can help, for example, when the streamer needs to make a decision during a live broadcast of a game. He will be able to ask his audience for help. More detailed information about chat settings and polls can be found here. found here.
