The new Yamaha YH-L700A over-ear headphones promise an immersive 360º sound experience thanks to the 3D Sound Field technology from the Japanese company, best known here for its motorcycles and electric bikes. The technology used in YH-L700A tracks the user's head movements, making the sound respond in real time to the position of the head in relation to the device playing the content.

All of this is done through the Yamaha Headphones Controller app, available for Android and iOS. The sound mode options are Cinema, Drama and Music Video (for video content), Audio Room and Background Music (for ambient or background music), as well as Outdoor Live and Concert Hall (for live music and in a concert hall).

Advanced noise cancellation

One of the things that draws the most attention is the function of noise cancellation the Yamaha YH-L700A, which the company says goes beyond other competing ANC systems by using both external and internal microphones to remove noise without affecting the music.

Two other interesting features: Yamaha's Listening Optimizer, which promises to ensure optimized performance based on the fit of the headphones on the user's head. Listening Care encourages the user to listen to content at lower volumes, automatically adjusting audio frequencies but maintaining the full sound range, regardless of volume.

The battery of the Yamaha YH-L700A headphones is also impressive, promising up to 32 hours of sound with a full charge in 3 and a half hours, via USB A/C cable. It is also worth noting that with the 3D sound and noise cancellation functions activated, the battery time drops to 11 hours, according to the company. The YH-L700A also has control buttons on the headphones themselves.

Yamaha is expected to launch the YH-L700A headphones in Europe in August for €520 (R$3.145 at the current exchange rate), with the option to purchase a hard carrying case, a good idea considering the hefty price tag.
