All about the best cell phones

Microsoft announced today (14/07) Windows 365, a kind of PC in the cloud available for access on any device, including tablets and smartphones. That is, you access your cell phone and operate it like a computer, processing remotely, through your internet connection.

According to the company, the goal of this is to facilitate hybrid and remote work through a personalized Windows experience. In addition, it will be possible to choose which version of Microsoft's operating system the Cloud PC — the name given by the company to the Windows 365 cloud computer — will run. The options are Windows 10 or Windows 11, after its release.

However, the service will not be free and will not be accessible to everyone. At least not at first, since ecosystem has chosen to offer the service exclusively to companies. The good news, however, is that the new feature will be available to any company, regardless of its size. In fact, it is possible that it will be offered to ordinary users in the future.

Microsoft highlights the service's security and ease of access

Microsoft highlighted several interesting features during the Windows 365 presentation, such as the aforementioned compatibility of the product with tablets, smartphones and even computers from other companies. As a result, all information on the Cloud PC will then be continuously synchronized between all connected devices. In practice, this means that work interrupted on one device can be continued on any other.

Another possibility offered by Windows 365 is the ability to easily choose the processing and storage to be used on each Cloud PC. This versatility is possible precisely by combining the power of the devices themselves and the cloud, which can be customized by each company's IT department.

Aimed at professionals responsible for companies' computers, Microsoft stated that Cloud PCs are managed in the same way as physical computers, with the Microsoft Endpoint Manager. But in a different way, updates will be facilitated on the cloud desktop.

The last point highlighted by the company was related to security. According to Microsoft, all information, whether sensitive or not, will be stored in the cloud. In other words, potential hackers will not find anything valuable on the devices themselves. In this sense, the service becomes even more reliable due to the zero trust network architecture, which requires multiple authentications for files to be accessed.

All of the most unique features of Windows 365 were also revealed and summarized in a short video published by the company on YouTube:

Service will be offered soon

Windows 365 will launch with Windows 10 on August 2. Later, when Windows 11 is released, you will be able to choose whether or not to upgrade your Cloud PC operating system. Until then, however, Microsoft will be posting updates on the service No. blog from Microsoft 365.
