Working in a new tool that will allow WhatsApp users to connect more than one device with a single account in the app. The feature called multi-device was announced to be tested first in beta versions for Web and Desktop from Whatsapp, but news was seen regarding the topic.

One account, up to five cell phones
WhatsApp's multi-device feature should allow users to use four other devices to connect to the app, in addition to their main smartphone. This will create a total of five devices sharing the same account. Once connected, the main device will no longer need to be connected for the others to work. To use this new feature, users will need to have the latest update of the app on their smartphone.
However, the feature may have some limitations at first. One of them is the inability to chat with devices running older versions of WhatsApp, which may limit the number of people with whom you can exchange messages. The tool may also experience slowness and compromised app performance, as well as other minor issues.
All of these issues should be resolved before the official launch of multi-device for everyone, and the beta testing phase on WhatsApp mobile should serve to help fix these issues. Mark and Will have plans to release the final version of multi-device soon, hence the rush to make the beta testing available.
