The Galaxy S21 family continues among the best sellers of the flagship segment, but Samsung is already looking to maintain its leadership next year. To this end, according to recently leaked information, it is putting great effort into the configuration of the main camera and the entire optical system from line S22.
The Tron leaker (@FrontTron) posted on Twitter this Wednesday (23/06) what would be being prepared for the so-called Samsung Rainbow, the name given to the project that will give “life” to the Galaxy S22. According to the informant, the main camera of the triple rear set would have 50 megapixels, and would be accompanied by a 12 MP ultrawide and a telephoto, also of 12 megapixels, but with 3x optical zoom.

This optical zoom is eye-catching, as it is superior to that found on the Galaxy S21 and S21+. The two most basic flagships in the current line (which also includes the Ultra, the most complete) deliver 1,1x optical zoom. The quality of the photos ends up being compensated by the hybrid zoom provided by the 64 MP resolution of the main camera.
Nothing was said today about the settings camera of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but they are expected to be superior to those seen in the current edition. The S21, in its top version, has 108 megapixels in the main lens and three more sensors, with 10 MP + 10 MP + 12 MP. It is worth remembering that, due to the partnership with Olympus, the presence of a 200 megapixel lens in this version of the S22 is taken for granted.
premium finish
And speaking of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, it's worth remembering that, in addition to possibly having a better main camera than the other two models in the series, the smartphone's finish should also be superior.
The lyrics were given by the same leaker, last week. On a Twitter post, Tron gave the message. “The direction to follow is not defined, but it is one of the options considered. The S22 Ultra will be THE ONLY model with a GLASS back. The basic and Plus models will have an improved 'reinforced polycarbonate', also known as plastic”, he warned.
