For those who forgot how to do it manually: this code is two digits and needs to be entered after the national prefix (0) and before the DDD (Direct Distance Dialing) and the number you want to call. The call is like this: National Prefix (0) + Operator Code + DDD + Number you want to dial.

If it is an international call, the DDD is replaced by the DDI (International Direct Dialing). In this case, the process is: Prefix 00 + Operator code + Country code + (area code if applicable) + the telephone number you wish to call.

On Android devices, it is still possible to automatically add operator codes for long-distance calls. This way, the prefix is entered automatically. To do this, simply go to Settings > Network > SIM Card > Easy Prefix and select the On mode. When you click on it, the smartphone will automatically suggest the code for the chip that the customer uses. However, it is possible to select another one if necessary.

For those who often leave Brazil, Travel Mode is very useful. In this option, instead of the carrier codes, the cell phone adds the Brazilian prefix, 55. Remember that this is for those who are outside of Brazil and need to make a call. For those who are here and want to call abroad, the process was described above in DDI mode.
