All about the best cell phones

A Motorola has just released the new version of Moto g stylus, now with support for 5G. Its existence is not so surprising, due to the leakage at the end of May, but we weren't sure about its specifications. Overall, while it has some similarities with the 4G version of the smartphone released earlier this year, the new model also features some very welcome differences.

Small but significant differences

First of all, the Snapdragon 678 has been replaced by the considerably more powerful Snapdragon 480 5G. One of the reasons for this, in fact, is the architecture of the chips themselves. While the Snapdragon 678 has transistors of 11 nm, the Moto G Stylus 5G's processor transistors are only 8 nm. In addition, the new chip has 6 GB of RAM (compared to 4 GB in the previous model) and the phone's internal storage has doubled, from 128 to 256 GB, which can be added up to 1 TB via microSD card.

Of course, the Moto G Stylus now supports 5G. The only problem, however, is that the connection 5G The device uses sub-6GHz networks, which are slower compared to mmWave network technology, generally with frequencies of 25 to 39 GHz. On the other hand, sub-6GHz networks offer greater range compared to mmWave networks.

A big new feature of this version is the increase in battery compared to the 4G version, which went from 4.000 mAh to 5.000 mAh, but remains with 10 W fast charging. Also, instead of three cameras At the rear, the new Moto G has a quad system: a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP macro camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, we have a 16 MP front camera.

The size of the smartphone remains the same, at 6,8 inches and with a screen with a resolution of 2400×1080. The 3,5mm headphone jack has also been maintained, as well as the My Ux interface. However, the Moto G Stylus 5G's interface runs on Android 11 instead of Android 10.

Apparently, Motorola's goal with its Moto G Stylus 5G is to repeat what made the 4G version a success in terms of cost-benefit. Thus, the cell phone is being sold for US$ 399 (around R$ 2000 in direct conversion). The price may seem expensive at first, but just remember that the Galaxy Note 20, smartphone with stylus e 5G da Samsung, currently costs more than R$4.000. In any case, the new Moto G can now be purchased and will be available from Monday (14/06).
