All about the best cell phones

The function of hiding likes in the Facebook and Instagram apps showed up here It's been a while and, while the parallel update is reaching users, it will gradually be possible to remove the number of likes on photos and posts on the social network. We've put together a short step-by-step guide to help you understand where the function is.

Before you begin, make sure that your version of the Facebook app is the latest available on Play or the App Store and, if necessary, update to the latest patch. Once you have done this, click on the Menu tab, located in the upper right corner, and in the Settings and Privacy tab, select Settings.

The new option to hide likes on the Facebook app will be located in the “News Feed Settings” tab. In Portuguese, the function is on the “Reaction Preferences” screen.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll have two options for hiding the number of reactions. The first, “On other people’s posts,” will no longer display the number of reactions from others in News Feed, Pages, and Groups. The second option, “On your posts,” hides the numbers only on your profile. Just click and activate the one you’d like to hide.

Hide, but not too much

According to Facebook's guide, the option to hide likes on one's own posts is limited, as people can still see the total number of reactions on groups, Events, Marketplace, Stories, and Pages. Furthermore, only the total number is hidden: the people who liked it, as well as the individual reaction counts, remain available.

When you choose to hide reactions on other people's posts, the feature will still be displayed in other sections of Facebook, such as individual posts on other people's profiles, Marketplace ads, and videos. It's worth remembering that, as with the previous option, only the total number of reactions will remain hidden.
