While the advanced Poco X3 Pro and F3 officially disembark in Brazil, abroad the family is receiving a new device, the intermediate Poco M3 Pro, launched with MediaTek's Dimensity 700 processor. With balanced hardware, this intermediary is, in fact, a redesign of the Redmi Note 10 5G. Taking the design out, they are identical.
With a 6,5-inch LCD screen with Full HD resolution, the launch has a 90Hz refresh rate that works dynamically. Thus, it can save battery in moments of static interface, at 30Hz, and only use its maximum potential in dynamic tasks, such as games. The battery is 5000 mAh, with 18W fast charging. recent leak of specifications is actually confirmed here.
To be sold in versions with 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity, the Poco M3 Pro is launched as another balanced mid-range device with 5G connectivity. It comes out of the factory with MIUI 12 and Android 11, with Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and the classic feature that Xiaomi loves to include in its smartphones: an infrared sensor for the user to control other devices with it operating as a remote control.
What changes is the rear
The main change compared to the Redmi Note 10 5G is the design of the rear: while it continues to rely on a rectangular module for the triple set of lenses, there is another dye finish that gives the impression of the lenses “clinging” to the left side. This, in a way, changes the look of the Poco M3 Pro a little. The logo, in a huge size, is printed in this same region.
And what about the cameras themselves? The Poco M3 Pro 5G has a 48 MP main camera, with an F/1.79 aperture, accompanied by a macro and a depth sensor, both 2 MP.
With devices from the Poco line being quite expensive in the country, it wouldn't be surprising if Xiaomi launched the Poco M3 Pro in Brazil as well. Its low price — up to US$219 (R$1.162 in direct conversion today, 19/05) — could help the company expand its line of more affordable models in the country, although taxes and duties would certainly make the phone reach a higher price than this. It's worth remembering that the Chinese company also brought the Redmi Note 10 here.
