All about the best cell phones

With the Covid-19 pandemic, knowing if a bus is crowded before boarding can be extremely important and, to try to avoid you waiting at the bus stop until you find an empty one, the Quicko app has launched a collaborative mode in which users can inform how full the vehicle is is.

The Brazilian startup's app already works in a similar way to other services of this type, indicating traffic and bus location, but now it is gaining this new feature to avoid crowds on the Services public. For now, the app and monitoring service work in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.

When you open a destination on the map and select the bus schedule, you can check the bus capacity, along with other information such as time and distance that appears in the app. If the user wishes, the app can also find alternative routes or even select a route by bike or on foot.

Bus Monitoring App

To find out how full the transport is, the app uses the collaboration of users, who can indicate how full it is. Of course, the availability of the resource is linked to the number of people using it; the more users, the more buses will be registered.

“Information is essential for users to decide the best route in an intelligent, convenient and economical way. Now, using technology, Quicko allows users to report and monitor problems on bus lines, providing greater security for people who need to travel around cities. With the new tool, for example, it is possible to use public transport consciously and even choose times and routes with less traffic, avoiding exposure to the new coronavirus (Covid-19)”, says the announcement.

According to the app, a survey by New Sao Paulo Network indicated that for 23% of respondents who travel by bus in the capital of São Paulo, the main problem with transportation in the city is precisely the overcrowding of vehicles. In addition, for 39%, the fear of catching coronavirus is another decisive factor.

The Quicko transportation app was launched just over a year ago for the Android and should get an iOS version soon.
