Less than a year after the release of the first Reon Pocket, Sony has announced the new model of the device. According to the Japanese company, the Reon Pocket 2 works very similarly to the first version, but Sony's new wearable air conditioner has some improvements and reaches up to twice the level of heat absorption. Controlled by an application on the smartphone (iOS and Android), the device is wearable and portable, so the user can put it under their shirt and take it anywhere.

A Sony says the Reon Pocket 2 is a great option for those who do light exercise (like hiking and golfing), as the device has better protection against sweat. While it is splash-resistant, the main body of the device is not waterproof, meaning it can be damaged if used in rain or snow. Sony says that for greater comfort, users should wear light-colored, well-ventilated clothing. In addition, the new Reon Pocket 2 works as a heater on cold days. The user can also set the automatic mode, which adapts the temperature of the device according to the weather.

Apparently, the target audience for the product is people who practice light sports, especially golfers, remembering that the manufacturer has partnerships with several sportswear brands such as Descent, Le Coq Sportif and Munsingwear.

The new wearable air conditioner was launched today (22/04) at Japan by Sony, priced at 14.850 yen (equivalent to R$750 in direct conversion) in the country's main electronics stores and on Amazon. Unfortunately, for now there is no information on whether the Reon Pocket 2 will be released in other countries in the coming months.
