As the world awaits the next headphones from the leaders in mobile phones, such as the new AirPods Pro or even the model of the Google Pixel, who has just launched its devices is a leader in retail. Amazon brought to the world its Echo Buds 2 which came with a series of improvements compared to the previous version.
Jeff Bezos' new headphones are 20% smaller, and the case has been reduced even further (40%). In addition, the device has undergone a redesign that makes it very similar to the Pro model from Apple. They are available for pre-order starting today, costing US$ 120 (R$ 681 without taxes and fees), and are expected to ship in May. Buyers can also choose between white and black.
Specifications
The first notable upgrade to the Echo Buds 2 is their noise-canceling system developed by Amazon itself, capable of filtering twice as much noise. The previous version had a Bose system, but that generated complaints. The device's microphone has also been improved to capture low-frequency sounds and, therefore, improve voice capture for calls.
Physically, the reduced size has made it more comfortable to wear. It also has an opening that makes it easier to fit in the ear and gives a natural feeling. The case now has USB Type-C charging (unlike the micro USB of version 1) and also offers the option of wireless charging using the Qi standard, just like the AirPods Pro. The device is also IPX4 resistant against sweat and rain.
Finally, in its software, the Echo Buds 2 has a system called VIP that allows the user to select which notifications they want to hear. And, in addition to having support for Alexa, the device will also be compatible with Siri and Google Assistant.
