The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra is coming and will bet big on cameras to captivate the consumer, and this will include a, let's say, poetic attraction, a mode called Ultra Moon that promises to highlight your night photos with the natural satellite. The camera design has already been revealed, and it seems that the sensors will be able to work in combination to optimize photographs in this type of situation.

With images revealed on Weibo, ZTE showed what the Axon 30 Ultra will be capable of thanks to Ultra Moon mode: the photos highlight the moon at a size that today smartphones can only achieve with a lot of optical or hybrid zoom. The secret, however, is in a new algorithm, which should combine the synchronization of several lenses at the same time, combining its brightness with the brightness of the surrounding environment.

In a promotional video, what the Axon 30 Ultra appears to do is take a photograph of the night scene combined with a super zoom of the natural satellite, creating a fusion of files in which the moon fills the space that, in the first photograph, it represented only a distant point of light. The result is a creative record, to say the least, but more attentive eyes will notice that it is not very natural. After the launch, with the device in the hands of users and analysts, tests should reveal the true potential of this algorithm.

Scheduled for release on April 15, the Axon 04 line should have a series of models, and it is possible that not all of them will feature Ultra Moon mode, as it will combine several sensors at the same time. These sensors should not be used in the simplest versions of the device.

It is worth noting that ZTE was a pioneer in launching technology under-screen cameras, but it looks like it won't be taking that path with the ZTE Axon 30 Ultra. Either the company is trying to make this method more mature, or it's reserving the feature for other future releases.
