The new line of cell phones from ZTE, the S30, went on sale in China this Tuesday (30/03) with prices ranging from 1.700 to 3.000 yuan (respectively, R$ 1.500 and 2.635 in direct conversion), depending on the model. In this line, three cell phones were launched: the ZTE S30 Pro, more sophisticated, with Snapdragon 768G processor, and the S30 and S30 SE, with Dimensity processors, from Taiwanese MediaTek.

ZTE S30 Pro

The most advanced among the new releases, the ZTE S30 Pro, has a 6,67-inch AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The front camera, with a resolution of 44 megapixels, comes in a circular cutout. The rear camera is quadruple with a rectangular shape: there is a main camera, of 64 MP, a wide-angle camera, of 8 MP, and a pair of 2 megapixel lenses, respectively, a macro and a depth lens. It was expected that the new optical set would come with three 64 megapixel cameras, which did not materialize.

Internally, the S30 Pro features an octa-core Snapdragon 768G processor and 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The battery is 4200 mAh, with support for 55W wireless charging – the fastest among the three models.

The ZTE S30 Pro operates with a MyOS 11 interface, based on Android 11. The device is priced at 3.000 yuan in the Chinese market (around R$2.635 in direct conversion).

ZTE S30

O ZTE S30 brings some small changes. The screen is the same size, but the refresh rate is much lower, with a standard 90Hz. The front camera comes in a circular cutout, with a 16 MP sensor, while the quad rear camera has the same specifications as the ZTE S30 Pro, except for the macro camera, which captures images of up to 5 megapixels.

The processor is also different: instead of Snapdragon, an octa-core Dimensity 720, from Mediatek, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The battery is 4000 mAh, the weakest in the line, with support for 30-watt wireless charging.

In the Chinese market, the ZTE S30 was launched for 2.198 yuan in its basic version – with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage – and 2.398 yuan in the premium version – with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

ZTE S30SE

The most basic of the three models, the ZTE S30SE, comes with the same 6,67-inch screen that offers FHD+ resolution, but with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The front camera is also slightly inferior, with an 8-megapixel sensor. On the back, the camera is triple: there is a main one with a 48 MP sensor, a macro one that captures images up to 5 MP, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

On the inside, the ZTE S30 SE is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 octa-core processor, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It's worth noting the robust 6000mAh battery, which also supports 18-watt wireless charging.

The ZTE S30 SE was launched in China for 1.700 yuan, equivalent to around R$1.500 in direct conversion.
