And at a price that cannot be refused,” added the executive, ensuring that the brand’s commitment to offering products at a lower price than its competitors will be maintained in Redmi’s flagship gamer.

Dimensity 1200 confirmed

In the same post published on Weibo, Lu Weibing also confirmed that Realme's new flagship will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. According to the brand's CEO, the new configurations will give the smartphone "extraordinary performance, with lower battery consumption, access to advanced technology 5G and better gaming experience”. The Dimensity 1200, in fact, has already been confirmed as the processor for the entry-level model of the K40 series. The K40 Pro and the yet-to-be-confirmed K40 Pro Zoom, meanwhile, are expected to arrive in February, but with the Snapdragon 888.

The confirmation of the Dimensity 1200, however, does not mean that Redmi's flagship gamer will be a member of the K40 family. Lu Weibing, in fact, did not make it clear whether the successor series to the K30 will embrace two functions simultaneously - that of being a flagship capable of competing with high-end rivals and that of winning a place in the hearts of gamer phone users. "Redmi will continue to focus on the flagship market and enrich the production of this series of products", he concluded.
