Lamborghini is considered one of the most luxurious car brands in the world, but it also likes to associate itself with technology products, such as this version of the Find X2 Pro. This time, the company launched headphones developed in partnership with Master & Dynamic.
As expected, the price is in keeping with the Lamborghini name, so we're talking about headphones that cost more than many smartphones here in Brazil. The collection has two wireless models, the MW 65 and the MW 07 Plus TWS, both equipped with noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.0 and beryllium drivers for purer audio.
Additionally, the earbuds are capable of operating for 24 hours on a single charge. The battery life can reach 40 hours with the charging case. So far, so good.
The problem is that, as we have already mentioned, the luxury, design and weight of the Lamborghini brand, however, ended up leaving the headphones in the collection with prices that are not very accessible for most consumers.
The MW 65 is being sold for 571 Euros (R$ 3.650), while the MW 07 is more affordable (but not by much), and leaves stores for 371 Euros (R$ 2.370).
With this price, to have a quick comparison, it is possible to buy (at least during this Black Friday) smartphones like the Motorola edge (BRL 2.999), the Galaxy S20FE (R$ 3.150). It's okay that in Brazil we still have import tax, iPhone SE 2020, for example, ends up being a little more expensive than the headset, R$3.699.
Lamborghini obsession led CEO to design headphones
The idea of creating a line of headphones inspired by Lamborghini comes from Jonathan Levine, CEO of Master & Dynamic. The reason was more passionate than rational: his obsession with the brand's sports cars.
“As a boy, I was obsessed with cars. I remember being mesmerized the first time I saw a Lamborghini Miura. Those feelings of excitement still remain with me today whenever I see a Lamborghini. Creating something that initiates such a visceral response has always been my intention at Master & Dynamic,” he said in an official statement.
The passion of the Master & Dynamic executive was translated into a product, the headphones from the Lamborghini line. The finish of the more expensive MW 65 over-ear model, made of metal following the Alcantara color scheme, widely used in the brand's super sports cars.
The MW 07 also has a car-inspired look, with a stainless steel case with either a matte or polished finish. This case comes in polished white, matte silver, and black (matte or polished).
