A Apple Apple has been planning to improve its line of true wireless (TWS) headphones for 2021 for some time now. Now, an image leaked by the website 52Audio may have given us the first look at this new generation. According to the page, the image below corresponds to a part of the AirPods 3, which should arrive next year along with the AirPods Pro 2.

The look doesn't differ much from what we already know from the current AirPods Pro, that is, the headphone stem will be a little smaller, and it will probably have interchangeable ear tips.

Rumors indicate that the Apple is working more on the internals of the next generation of TWS headphones. Specifically, the company is looking to improve the battery life of the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2. What many already know, however, is that the AirPods 3 will not feature active noise cancellation.

Second generation of AirPods Pro 2 is also coming

In the case of AirPods Pro 2, it is speculated that the Apple go eliminate the stem of the headphones, in addition to expanding the rounded part to fill more of the inner part of the ear. This should give it a look more common to headphones of this type from other brands, such as Samsung or Xiaomi.

In terms of features, the design, which is in the testing phase, seems to have made life difficult for the engineers at Apple, which seek to integrate noise cancellation, wireless antennas and microphones on a smaller chassis. So don't expect a major overhaul if the Cupertino giant insists on implementing these details.

Both headphones are expected to arrive in the first half of 2021, disproving another rumor that the AirPods Pro 2 would only enter retail from 2022.
