You play on Android with controls, but miss the vibration feature? Well, here’s some good news. Google might finally be making it work.
At least, that's what it signaled in response to users who questioned the lack of compatibility on the devices.
The Android operating system currently supports game controllers and USB HID devices, such as gamepads. Unfortunately, it still does not have programmable vibration buttons. As a result, more and more users have complained about this incompatibility on the device.
The lack of vibration on the Android controller is something that makes the experience incomplete and, depending on the game, seriously affects gameplay.
Now, it seems that Google should listen to the appeal of its audience and reevaluate the implementation of the feature in the operating system. With a controller, it will be possible to enjoy the immersion that vibration offers on Android.
This speculation arose because there was a recent change in the status of a response given by Google to a user. The message that said: “Will not be resolved (deprecated)” changed to “The feature will be considered for a future release”.
No guarantees
It is not yet known when this future will come. However, there are expectations that the team will start testing soon. This way, it may be possible to add support for vibration on the controller in the next Android updates. It is also not known whether this vibration feature on the game controller will be limited to newer versions of Android.
