Huawei yesterday presented its new Mate 40 line, with himself and the models Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro+, which we talked about here, but the flagship of the line, the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, was missing. The new smartphone has a beautiful look with a design created in partnership with Porsche, and a ceramic finish that gives it a touch of class.
Octagonal camera array

Let's start with the camera array, with its distinctive octagonal design that gives the new smartphone a unique look. The Mate 40 RS has five cameras, like the Mate 40 Pro+, but with one difference: the ultra-wide camera. The RS model has an F/1.8 aperture instead of F/2.4, and a larger 18mm sensor instead of 14mm.

The screen is the same as the Pro models, a 6,76-inch OLED, Full HD+ resolution (2772 x 1344 pixels) and 90Hz refresh rate.
Respectable hardware

Inside, the Mate 40 RS also features cutting-edge hardware, with the same Kirin 9000 processor with the 78-core Mali-G24 GPU and 5G connectivity. Like the Pro models, the 4400 mAh battery has 66-watt fast charging with wires or 50 watts wirelessly. Likewise, the RAM memory is the same, up to 12 GB. But at least in terms of capacity, the Mate 40 RS is much better served, with double the space, 512 GB.
The smartphone weighs 234 grams and has a thickness of 10,1 mm.
Like other Huawei devices, the new smartphone does not have Google apps and services.
The price of this smartphone is its biggest problem, as it costs 2.300 Euros, or an unbelievable R$ 15.332. At the same event, the Huawei Watch GT2 Porsche Design.
