Thanks to a teardown video posted by Century Weifeng Technology, we can get a closer look at the internal components of the 12-inch iPhone 6,1.
The teardown video compares the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 11, and while there are some similarities in the overall layout of the phone's build, there are key differences in the updated design.
The logic board is larger than the 11. This is mainly due to the additional 5G capabilities, which require an extra chip.

Below, the 5G modem was identified as being from Qualcomm, model X55.

How Apple confirmed at the keynote presentation that it ended up using its own 5G antenna designs. That's one reason for this iPhone's slimmer form factor.
Although the logic board is larger, there are some items that Apple has been reduced in size to reduce the overall dimensions of the iPhone 12. The OLED display assembly is thinner, and the Taptic Engine circuit (the iPhone's display pressure sensor) is significantly smaller.
In terms of battery, there is also a difference: with 2.815 mAh, it is 15% smaller than that of the iPhone 11. All of this makes the iPhone 12 11% thinner and 16% lighter than the iPhone 11.

On the back panel, we have a good view of the MagSafe magnetic assembly. Here, you can see the ring made entirely of magnets, which align with the accessories for a secure fit.
Although it is not a detailed analysis, the disassembly reveals some secrets that should not even be hidden by the Apple.
