Besides the ROG Phone 3, which already has its launch date set for the 22nd of this month, Asus may also launch its new Zenfone 7 line in July.
According to the website information TNNToday, the new smartphones should be presented in two versions, Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro.
Zenfone 7 line: flip camera, but with more lenses
Both the regular and Pro models are expected to feature the same flip camera mechanism as the Zenfone 6 line, but now with more lenses. According to reports, they will be released in at least two colors, black and white.
The smartphone had appeared on Geekbench as Asus ZF, and so we already know that it will have the Snapdragon 865 processor and up to 16 GB of RAM. The RAM memory should be LPDDR5 while the flash memory, UFS 3.1.
According to information from TNNToday, the smartphones will have AMOLED screens with a refresh rate of 90Hz on the Zenfone 7 and 120Hz on the 7 Pro.
Both models would have a fingerprint sensor under the screen, and would have a 6000 mAh battery with 30-watt fast charging.
With the use of the flip camera, the Zenfone 7's screen will remain free of notches and cutouts. This camera is very versatile, as it can be used as a front or rear camera. When the Zenfone 6 was launched, the biggest concern was the durability of the camera module, but Asus carried out numerous tests to show that it performs well in this regard.
In our tests there at Olhar Digital, the flip camera was duly approved. In addition, Asus also launched the smartphone with some interesting effects taking advantage of the automatic opening, let's wait and see what they come up with this year.
According to the post, the new smartphones should cost less than the ROG Phone 3, which is no surprise. Their processor is the Snapdragon 865, while the new ROG Phone is the Snapdragon 865+. In addition, the ROG Phone 3 should feature a display with a higher refresh rate, 144Hz.
