Ulefone has relied on the support of its customers to launch its new ultra-rugged smartphone with a thermal camera, the Ulefone Armor 9. To this end, the Chinese company created a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the smartphone.

The smartphone features the Flir thermal camera, which is capable of detecting the temperature of different objects. portable thermal camera from Flir was already a great choice for those who work in maintenance, so it makes perfect sense for it to be integrated into a smartphone.

In addition, it also has a 64-megapixel main camera with a Samsung GW1 sensor. The 6,3-inch LCD screen has Full HD+ resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and a drop-shaped notch for the 8-megapixel front camera.

The processor is a Helio P90 from MediaTek with a 6600 mAh battery. The smartphone has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of capacity, which can be expanded with a microSD card of up to 128 GB.

The smartphone is ultra-resistant and can withstand drops of up to 1,2 meters, as it has MIL-STD-810 military certification. In addition, it is also waterproof, with IP68/IP69K protection.

Since the campaign has already more than reached its modest goal of US$12, delivery of the smartphone is already guaranteed. Anyone who contributes at least US$430 will be guaranteed a smartphone. Anyone who contributes more can receive the Armor 9 along with some accessories such as a protective case and even a waterproof endoscope.
