Xiaomi has introduced the new Mi Wireless Power Bank, which has the option of wireless charging (compatible with the Qi standard). With it, it is possible to charge two devices at the same time, one wirelessly and the other via the USB cable.
The device has a matte black finish and a 1,66 cm thick design, weighing 230 grams.
In addition to wireless charging, the Mi Wireless Power Bank has USB-A and USB-C inputs that allow you to recharge other devices regardless of the connector you choose. Wirelessly, the speed is 10W, but if you need to charge faster, you can opt for a USB cable and it reaches 18W. It is also possible to charge the power bank's 10.000 mAh battery quickly (18W).
Compatibility
Although it is compatible with most devices with wireless charging, the accessory will not work with recent Xiaomi devices such as the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max that were launched in the Indian market, but do not have the technology.
On the other hand, it will work with the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro (although not at the full speed offered by those devices), which were presented by the company in China last month (in an online event due to the coronavirus). The accessory is also compatible with the competing iPhone, but with a charging speed of 7,5W.
The announcement of the Mi Wireless Power Bank was made by Xiaomi's Vice President in India, Manu Kumar Jain in your profile on the social network Twitter. For now, this wireless charger is exclusive to the Indian market, and we still don't know if it will be sold in other parts of the world.
Safety
The wireless charger also has several features to increase its safety, something very important for a device like this. These are: temperature protection, short circuit protection, over-voltage input protection, external metal detection and electrostatic protection.
The list price of this Xiaomi wireless power bank is 2.499 Indian rupees, which in conversion comes to around R$ 169 (or US$ 33).
