Gearbest has today shown off a new product from Xiaomi that has not yet been released, the Mi TV Stick. This Android TV dongle with an HDMI 2.0 connector supports 4K resolution with up to 60 frames per second. It also has Dolby Stereo and DTS-HD sound.
Additionally, it also has support for Google Assistant. The device runs Android TV 9.0. Under the hood, it has an S905 Y2 processor with S905 Y2 with Mali G31 GPU. 2GB of RAM (DDR4) and 8GB of storage (eMMC).
The Gearbest page does not say whether it will be launched with a remote control like the Mi Box S. Charging is done via a USB cable with the 5-watt power supply that comes with the dongle.
On Gearbest's international website, the price informed is US$80, or about R$464, but on the Gearbest Brazil website, the price is R$503, and that's with a 20% discount.
It is worth remembering that the launch has not yet been confirmed by Xiaomi, but as it has already appeared on Gear Best, everything indicates that it is indeed real. Last month, a leakage It said that the Mi TV Stick could be launched in May, so the information seems to make sense.
The Mi TV Stick can be an interesting solution for those who don't have a Smart TV and want to watch Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services, but its conversion price ends up being too expensive.
