WhatsApp beta has custom wallpapers per conversation
Talking to your boss, your significant other, and your dentist doing a root canal, but using the same wallpaper? How about something more atmospheric? Starting with its beta testing program, WhatsApp is allowing users to use custom wallpapers for each conversation. Now, the new feature has also arrived for users of Android, but for now it is also only available in the beta version of the app
What's new?
With this update, WhatsApp allows the user to set a Wallpaper personalized for each conversation and you can also change its opacity. In addition, you can choose between 32 wallpaper options for light theme, 29 options for dark theme and also opt for solid colors. If the user chooses to use solid colors as wallpaper, it will also be possible to use Whatsapp Doodle – functionality that lets you draw on images and use emojis in photos – to create an overlay and make the conversation a little more fun.
How to set custom wallpapers for each chat on WhatsApp?
To set custom wallpapers for each conversation on WhatsApp, the steps are very simple:
- Go to the contact or group information tab
- Select “Wallpaper and Sound”
- There, you will see the “Choose New Wallpaper” option, and you can choose from the new light, dark and solid theme options and define whether the chosen wallpaper will be used in all conversations or just one.
According to the WABetaInfo website, there is still no forecast of when the new feature will be available to all users or to the Desktop and web versions of WhatsApp, but, by all indications, the update may arrive soon.
