Vivo X60 and X60 Pro launched with Exynos 1080 and Zeiss lenses
Vivo Global today launched the Vivo X60 and Vivo X60 Pro, which are the first smartphones to feature Samsung's new Exynos 1080 processor. In addition, this is the company's first smartphone to feature Zeiss lenses, the result of a partnership announced a few weeks ago, something we already knew because of a teaser.
Speaking of teasers, before the release, several viscous showed us exactly what to expect from the new smartphones. The company used the Chinese social network to reveal the details and links of its new smartphones, confirming several predictions. The two are the successors to Vivo's flagship line, the X50 and X50 Pro, presented Some months ago.
Vivo X60 and X60 Pro: highlights are the Exynos 1080 chip and Zeiss lenses
Let's get to know the X60 and X60 Pro a little better. In addition to the aforementioned Exynos 1080, presented officially a few months ago, and the anticipation for its launch increased for a teaser. For those who are surprised that it is not the Exynos 2100, we remind you that Samsung's processor will make its debut in the company's new flagships, the Galaxy S21 line, which arrives on 14/01.
The Vivo X60 has 8 GB of RAM, and the X60 Pro, 12 GB, both LPDDR4X. Storage is UFS 3.1 on both models (128 and 256 GB on the normal and 256 GB on the Pro).
As I mentioned, the highlights of the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro are their cameras with Zeiss lenses. Three of them are identical, and the Pro model has a fourth camera with a periscope lens. The main camera is 48 MP with a Sony IMX598 sensor and F/1.79 aperture in the regular model and F/1.48 in the Pro. This camera also has 4-axis optical stabilization.
The other cameras are a 13MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide with a 120° angle. The Pro model's exclusive camera is the aforementioned 8MP periscope with 5x optical zoom.
Straight screen on the X60 and curved screen on the X60 Pro
The screen is the same on both models, a 6,56-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, but it's curved on the Pro and straight on the standard one. The front camera is in a central circular cutout, and has 32 MP with F/2.45 aperture. The fingerprint sensor is under the screen.
X60 Pro battery has slightly higher capacity
Okay, the biggest difference between the two is the camera, but there are also other details in which the Pro is superior. The battery is 4200 mAh in the basic model and 4300 mAh in the Pro model, both with 33W charging, with a charger in the box (without having to ask for it, as in the case of the Mi 11, released yesterday.
Additionally, the regular model is thinner (7,36mm vs. 7,59mm) and lighter (175,6g vs. 178g) than the Pro. Both feature 5G connectivity. The smartphone runs Android 11 with the new interface Origin OS 1.0 from Vivo.
Pre-sales start today (29/12) and delivery is scheduled for January 8. The regular model has two versions, in black and a light blue/pink, while the Pro has the same two, but also a third color, white.
Pricing and availability date (in China)
And what about the prices of the new Vivo X60 and X60 Pro with Zeiss-lens cameras? Let's start with the X60, which, as I've already mentioned, only has one RAM option, 8 GB. The smartphone with 128 GB costs 3.498 Yuan, or around R$2.776 (without taxes and fees). The model with 256 GB costs 3.798 Yuan, or around R$3.015 (price in China, also without extra costs). And the Vivo X60 Pro? Vivo's new flagship smartphone (with 12 GB and 256 GB) costs 4498 Yuan, or around R$3.570 (and just like the previous ones, it would cost much, much more in Brazil).
In addition, Vivo should also launch another smartphone in the line next month, the X60 Pro+, which should feature Snapdragon 888.
