December 21, 2020

Xiaomi's (and probably the world's) first smartphone be confirmed with Snapdragon 888, the Mi 11, which is scheduled to be launched on 29/12, has new information leaked about its appearance and configurations as the official launch date approaches. This Monday (21/12), it was the turn of the device's screen and the positioning of the selfie camera to come to light again, with “hot” leaks.

As published on the social network Weibo, and replicated by the website Mydrive, the tempered glass suggests that the Xiaomi Mi 11 will leave some of the brand's fans disappointed regarding the positioning of the selfie camera. Previously speculated to be "hidden" under the screen, the hole that will house the camera has been leaked in an image of the tempered glass that will protect the smartphone. And it is located in the upper left corner of the phone, in a similar position, but on the opposite side, to that chosen by Xiaomi for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro.

The other news confirmed by the image of the protective glass screen showed that the flagship will indeed be launched with a curved display. Or, at least, that's what was indicated by the leaked photo posted on Weibo. The screen, however, will not be extremely curved, as you already know. right here at Vida Celular.

The so-called “waterfall” effect, the extreme curvature almost all the way to the back, as spectacular as it is controversial, is not expected to be part of the Mi 11. This will leave the Chinese brand’s flagship with a more conventional look, with slightly curved edges and a cut corner for the selfie camera. The expected hidden camera technology under the screen – visible only when used for selfies – is still expected to be mass produced in 2021, but, in principle, the Xiaomi Mi 11 will not benefit from this advance.

Other rumors about the Mi 11 specifications are still going strong. According to the GizBot published this Monday, it will hit the market before the turn of the year with 8 GB of RAM, a 120Hz refresh rate and 55W fast charging. The optical set will be equipped with three cameras on the back - the main one with 108 megapixels of resolution, a 13 megapixel ultrawide and another 5 megapixel macro.

There is also a higher-end variant of the Xiaomi Mi 11 in the works that will feature a 2K AMOLED display from Samsung, support for 120W ultra-fast charging, also present in the Mi 10 Ultra, and rear cameras that can reach up to 200 megapixels in resolution. Can you imagine the quality of the photos you can take with this machine? For today (at least for now), this is the latest leaked information about Xiaomi's flagship. So: are you counting down the days until the launch? The countdown has begun...
