Ubisoft is yet another company that has decided to take a chance on the game streaming trend. The company has announced that Ubisoft+, a monthly subscription service that gives access to most of the producer's games, will be coming to Google Stadia. Among the titles that will be available to play are the Assassin's Creed franchise.
According to Ubisoft, the idea is to expand its services, so players who already subscribe to Ubisoft+ on computers will also have access to titles in the catalog on other platforms, such as Google Stadia and Luna – Amazon's newly announced platform.
In theory, by paying the same US$15 (around R$80) as for computers, players will have access to the producer's main games, including titles from the Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell, Rayman, Watchdogs and other franchises.
The problem, however, is that not all Ubisoft+ games are available for Stadia. For now, Google's platform is only compatible with latest games from the producer. There is still no information on whether the company intends to work on adaptations of the old games.
In addition, most of Ubisoft's releases also have discount policies for Stadia Pro users, making the new feature unattractive if you don't have access to Ubisoft+ on PCs.
This isn't the first time Ubisoft and Google have partnered. Assassin's Creed Odyssey, the penultimate title in the developer's most famous franchise, was one of the flagship games at Stadia's launch.
Both Ubisoft+ and Google Stadia are unavailable in Brazil. There is no information on whether Ubisoft intends to expand this partnership to other services such as Apple Arcade and the xCloud Gaming.
