Lenovo's Android tablets now come with a two-year warranty (at least in China)

August 4th, 2021

Lenovo has invested again in market tablets recently and has now announced that the models will now have a two-year warranty, at least in China. This applies to both new releases, but also to customers who have already purchased the products.

The announcement was made in a post on the Lenovo Xiaoxin and Lenovo YOGA pages on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. In the comments, the company confirmed that customers who already own recently purchased tablets from the brand will also be entitled to extended coverage. For now, we only have confirmation that new releases from the YOGA and Xiaoxin lines are compatible. .

Lenovo in the tablet market

“All Lenovo tablet products have been upgraded to a two-year warranty! One more year to go,” is the only text in the post. More information on this is expected to be released soon.

Lenovo tablets in post about two-year warranty

In recent years, the company has focused on the notebook market, launching smartphones only in specific markets, such as Brazil. Last year, Lenovo returned to producing tablets and the extended warranty could be a way to compete with other Chinese competitors. It is worth remembering that the brand also owns Motorola.

In June, during MWC Barcelona 2021, Lenovo showed off a slew of new tablets, not to mention a two-year warranty. In addition to the Yoga Tab 13 with its premium features and the Yoga Tab 11 with its Plus version, the company brought the Android Tab M7 and Tab M8, the new generation of its conventional tablets.

In addition to the Android models, Lenovo has Windows tablets, which are sort of hybrids with notebooks. Since the post says “all” it is to be expected that models like the Yoga Duet will also be included.
