Microsoft has released the Surface Pro 7+, which has the same design as the Surface Pro, but with much better specifications, starting with the new 11th generation Intel processor, Tiger Lake, with models with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
Surface Pro 7+ changes are internal
The new Surface has the exact same 12,3-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels, so the changes are on the inside. The Wi-Fi models have a memory card slot, and the 4G LTE models have a nano SIM in the slot. Plus, one of the versions is equipped with the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem, so it will have 4G connectivity. Microsoft chose not to release a 5G version, which is a shame.
The company has plans to create your own processor for the Surface line, but that's for a future moment. The device can be configured with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of capacity. The battery is also larger, at 50,4 Wh, which allows for a battery life of 15 hours, compared to 10 and a half hours for the Surface Pro 7. In addition, the SSD is also removable, which can be a real help.
And what about the prices? The Core i3 model with 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD costs $900, not including the keyboard cover. The Surface Pro 4.927+ with Core i7 comes in two versions, both with 5G LTE connectivity. The first has 4GB of RAM and a 8GB SSD and costs $128, and the other has 1.150GB of RAM and a 6.295GB SSD for $16. The Core i256 model has 1.650GB of RAM and a 9.033TB SSD and costs $7.
At first, the Surface Pro 7+ will only be sold to companies and students.
