The streaming platform recently released the sharing of excerpts from other social networks. Now, Spotify will automatically transcribe podcasts, allowing users to read the texts spoken in the program. In addition, users can also access specific points in the podcast by clicking on the paragraph they are interested in, making it easier to continue reading or listening from where they left off. NewsRoom Spotify says the new feature will be released in the coming weeks for Android and iOS. A Windows version of the app was not mentioned.
Spotify also reports that the version will gradually reach users, and because it is a beta version, this transcription will only be available for original podcasts exclusive to the streaming platform itself. However, the company does not rule out the possibility of making this tool available more widely in the future, with plans for it to work for all types of podcasts.

In addition to this new update that will transcribe podcasts, starting today, users can see some changes in the Spotify app. The platform is making changes to the formatting and size of texts, along with color corrections on access buttons. According to Spotify, these updates aim to improve the experience of users who have some type of visual impairment, helping them “engage with these actions when using Spotify on their phones,” the company added.
