Spotify has just announced a new interface for its library. The app hasn’t had a major design update in many years, but it does receive small updates regularly. The app’s library, which was last updated in 2019 to implement podcasts, has now been given a new look.
With this new interface, Spotify is making your library much more intuitive. That way, as soon as you open the app, you’re presented with a comprehensive library page that displays playlists, artists, and albums in a feed, based on how recently you’ve played each playlist. Then, you’ll start in the playlist section.
The three tabs in Spotify’s new interface remain at the top, in case you want to click on one specifically, but this also means you can easily search across all categories (including podcasts) rather than limiting your results. The “Create Playlist” button has also been moved to the top right next to the new search button.
Access is now simpler, each screen has a sort selector at the top of the feed, and there's also a new option to display everything in the library.
The new interface of the Spotify shows an improvement Regarding the previous library interface, however, it is not known when the update will be implemented for all users. So far, only a few Android users have access to the new version 8.6.2.774, so it seems to be a server test, which for now, is still limited.
