Amazfit GTS 2 and GTR 2 smartwatches feature Alexa assistant
Huami, a company of the Xiaomi group, is launching the new Amazfit GTS 2 and Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatches. Both are updates to their predecessors, featuring design changes and some new features. So, the big news is that: both models have support for Amazon Alexa.
Firstly, the company claims that the two new devices, which will be compatible with Android 5.0 or iOS 10 and above, will offer better battery life than their predecessors. The Amazfit GTR 2 will last around 38 days on a charge, while the Amazfit GTS 2 will last around 20 days on a charge.
The brand had already launched the Amazfit Bip S and Bip S Lite earlier this year, and recently showed its Neo retro watch.
Amazfit GTS 2 Specifications
The Amazfit GTS 2 retains the rectangular display of the first generation, but is thinner and lighter. It features a 1,65-inch AMOLED display and an anti-fingerprint coating.
The watch also offers built-in GPS and GLONASS, water resistance, heart rate monitoring (24 hours) and blood oxygen monitoring. In addition, it has support for receiving calls and 3 GB of storage with support for music playback.
For the fitness world: The Amazfit GTS 2 has 12 professional sports modes.
The average price of the Amazfit GTS 2 is around US$179, or about R$1.028.
Amazfit GTR 2 Specifications
The Amazfit GTR 2 has a circular dial with a 1,39-inch AMOLED display. The classic model of the watch features a stainless steel body and a leather strap, while the sports model features an aluminum alloy body with a silicone strap.
This smartwatch has the BioTracker 2 PPG heart rate sensor, built-in GPS and GLONASS for positioning, NFC, and support for SpO2 monitoring. The watch also includes the OxygenBeats blood oxygen function and the SomnusCare sleep function. In addition, the Amazfit GTR 2 is water resistant and also offers 3 GB of built-in storage for up to 600 songs.
The Amazfit GTR 2 will have two variants: the sports model and the classic model, also with prices starting at the same US$ 179.
