Samsung launches Galaxy Book Pro with 4G and Book Pro 360 with 5G
Samsung today introduced two new notebooks that aim to bring the smartphone experience to computers, the Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360, which feature not only Wi-Fi 6E, but also 4G and 5G connectivity (respectively), which is great news. In addition to connectivity, to understand the difference between them, just look at the name. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a touchscreen with support for the S Pen, which, by the way, comes with it, while the Galaxy Book is a regular notebook. The other difference between the two models is explicit in the 360, referring to the 360 degrees that the screen can rotate.
The AS Pen is a new, larger model, which makes sense if we take into account the size of the screen in relation to the company's smartphones and tablets, but the Galaxy Book Pro 360 does not have a compartment to store it, which is also understandable, after all the focus was to make the notebook as thin as possible, but it is worth keeping an eye on it so as not to lose the stylus.
Book Pro and Pro 360 are Samsung's first notebooks with AMOLED screens
There are two versions of each, with 13,3 inches and 15,6 inches. The Galaxy Book Pro's screen is described as AMOLED by Samsung, while the Galaxy Book Pro 360's is called Super AMOLED. This Super AMOLED screen is the same as that used in smartphones, and is present for the first time in Samsung notebooks, which promises greater brightness and contrast, in addition to energy savings. With its touchscreen, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 is a good answer to the Apple, which continues to not include the feature in its MacBooks, perhaps to preserve sales of the iPad Pro line.
An interesting detail is that the fans were created especially for it, and have 73 blades to reduce noise and the thickness of the notebooks. The 13-inch Galaxy Book Pro is the company's most compact and thinnest, at 11,2 mm thick and weighing just 870 grams. The 360 model is heavier, but not much, at 1,03 kg. Despite being thin, they are very resistant, made of 6000 series aluminum alloy. As we mentioned at the beginning of the post, both have 4G LTE connectivity, and the Book Pro 360 has the option of a version with 5G. Both notebooks feature an AKG sound system with Dolby Atmos.
Inside, both feature 11-core Intel Core processors.a generation with Iris X graphics, that is, they do not have a dedicated GPU. The Galaxy Pro can be configured with up to 8 GB of RAM, and the Pro 360, up to 16 GB, both with up to 512 GB of storage. The battery has a 63W charging in the 13-inch model and 68W in the 15-inch model.
Partnership with Microsoft
Samsung wants to make life easier for those who use the latest Galaxy smartphones, and has partnered with Microsoft. The notebooks feature Link To Windows / Microsoft Your Phone, which allows you to connect your smartphone and use it on the notebook's large screen. This way, you can receive and make calls, check notifications, transfer files or run apps. With this feature, you can open five smartphone screens simultaneously. The new notebooks also feature Galaxy Smart Switch, which allows you to transfer data and information from your PC to a Galaxy Book.
And the prices? They start at $1.000 (R$5.403) for the Galaxy Book Pro, and $1.200 (R$6.484) for both 13,3-inches. These prices are abroad, and here they will certainly cost more due to taxes and fees.
