Samsung will make available on May 1st the firmware G998BXXU3AUDA, a security patch that requires a 1,2 GB download and is mainly aimed at the camera of the Galaxy S21 line, including both the entry-level model and the S21+ and the S21 Ultra. The new feature will initially be available to users in Germany, but should be expanded to other centers over the next few weeks.
The S21 update patch, second company dedicated to this purpose, will now allow the user to also use the flagship's main camera with portrait mode, blurring the background. This functionality, in principle, could only be used with the telephoto and ultrawide lenses. In addition, there are also improvements to Quick Share, with corrections to the camera software of the Galaxy line.
To download the update patch, if it has not been made available automatically, users living in Germany and who have a smartphone from the Galaxy S21 family need to manually access the “Settings” menu and then look for the “Smartphone Software Update” option.

Samsung's idea for the new security patch made available first for the Galaxy S21 should follow what the South Korean company has done on other occasions and also, soon, guarantee improvements to the camera of smartphones from other lines of the manufacturer. It is not clear which model will benefit next, but it could be either a foldable flagship or the more economical ones, from the A or M lines.
It is worth remembering that Samsung is about to officially launch the new Galaxy S21FE (Fan Edition), scheduled to hit the market on August 19, with many of the original flagship's specs, but a wider range of colors and a more affordable price. It's not hard to imagine that the S21 FE will be introduced with the camera-focused improvement patch already working properly.
