After confirming that the successor to the ROG Phone 3 will indeed be called the ROG Phone 5, Asus announced this Friday (19/02) that the launch of the flagship dedicated to the gamer public will take place on March 10th. In addition, the Taiwanese company launched a counter on its official website for the date.
According to Asus, the ROG Phone 5 will be launched at an exclusive event broadcast via streaming, at 4 am Brasília time. It is worth remembering that the event takes place in Asia and therefore the time zone.
Additionally, on Thursday (18), the company also made a post on ROG's official profile on Chinese social network Weibo. The same post also states that the partnership with Tencent Games is maintained, and that the ROG Phone 5 will have a customized version of the brand, just like its predecessors ROG Phone II (or 2, if you prefer) and ROG Phone 3. However, this special edition from the game developer should be restricted to China. It is worth mentioning that the competition is also doing partnerships with Tencent, following ROG's example.

Asus has yet to explain why it skipped a number in the ROG Phone line of smartphones, but it is most likely due to the fact that Asians are very superstitious and the number four is considered an unlucky number in some countries like China.
