Price leaks indicate that the Galaxy S21 could be cheaper than the S20

Belgian telephone operator Voo has unintentionally (or not?) brought forward the prices of the Galaxy S21 line, which will be announced next 14, and showed eager consumers that Samsung's flagship could hit stores cheaper than its predecessor, the S20. According to the announcement made by Voo (and deleted shortly after), the entry-level version of the S21, with 128 GB of internal storage, will be sold for 849 euros (R$ 5.531, without taxes or import fees). The operator's promotion makes the Galaxy S21 even cheaper if the consumer subscribes to a 20 GB data package per month for a period of two years, at a cost of 52 euros (R$ 338) per month.

In this case, the flagship costs 199 euros (R$ 1.296, in direct conversion). The Galaxy S21+ was announced by Voo for 1.049 euros (R$ 6.835, in direct conversion), but it can also be cheaper with the subscription, dropping to 349 euros (R$ 2.274). Ultra version, top of the tops, can cost 1.399 euros (R$ 9.116) or, with a two-year subscription to the package, 679 euros (R$ 4.424, at the conversion rate).

Korea also speculates on lower prices

It's not the only case. In South Korea, Samsung's home country, there was no early announcement leaking prices - on purpose or accidentally - but local media have also been assuring that the price of the Galaxy S21, whichever model is chosen, will indeed be cheaper than that of the S20 for consumers next Thursday. The most basic Galaxy S21 would sell for 746 euros (R$ 4.860, without taxes or fees), cheaper than the S20, which cost 930 euros (R$ 6.059) at its launch.

The other models follow the trend of the most basic of the new line, according to the South Korean press. The Samsung Galaxy S21+ and S21 Ultra could be sold for 897 euros (R$ 5.844) and 1.082 euros (R$ 7.050), cheaper than the S20+ and S20 Ultra, which cost 1.009 euros (R$ 6.574) and 1.189 euros (R$ 7.747), respectively, when they arrived on the local market last year. The South Korean press speculates that there will also be a 512 GB variant of the Ultra, which would cost 1.194 euros, equivalent to R$ 7.779, without import fees or other taxes.

Two coincidences? The signs point to the long-awaited S21 being more affordable than its predecessor, and worldwide.
