Nokia has been investing in the country. The Finnish company, owned by HMD Global, has already brought models such as the Nokia 5.3, 5.4, 2.4 and C2. Now, already registered with Anatel, it is time for a new basic cell phone to arrive in Brazil, the Nokia 1.4.
Discovery is made a few days after the brand makes the Nokia C01 Plus official, confirmed to disembark in the national territory “in the coming months”. In both cases, we are talking about entry-level smartphones, which run Android 11 Go. The Nokia 1.4 should arrive in Brazil with very modest hardware, including a 6,52-inch LCD screen in HD resolution and a Snapdragon 215 processor. In the international market, there are options with 1 to 3 GB of RAM, with storage space ranging from 16 to 64 GB.
FM radio
With a 4000 mAh battery, the Nokia 1.4 has a dual rear camera: the main sensor has 8 MP, and the secondary is a 2 megapixel macro. The selfie lens has 5 megapixels of definition, and the entire set can record at just 720p. Interestingly, the model has an FM radio tuner. Looking at the market, this is a function that is falling into disuse (except for Motorola), as well as the implementation of digital TV.
The price of the 2 GB / 32 GB version abroad is around EUR 99 (R$ 614 in direct conversion today, 11/06). The upcoming Nokia C01 Plus was announced in Europe at EUR 75 (R$ 465), bringing even simpler specifications. Since the equation that will involve the national price of the models considers variables that only HMD Global and Multilaser know, it is difficult to predict the prices at which they will arrive in Brazil. What makes sense is to wait for prices below BRL 1.399, the one charged by the Nokia 2.4, which has more advanced specifications.
